We really appreciate the commitment, enthusiasm and organisation that makes the Summer School a big success.
(Heather Finch - Parent)

In 2012 Course Director, Stephen Crooks, began his vision for FTBBSS by assembling top class musicians to provide expert tuition to the people of the Fermanagh/Tyrone area and beyond!

After 8 successful years the course continues to grow, with 2019 course consisting of over 90 brass and percussion players taking part in rehearsals, sectionals, Q&A sessions and individual lessons.

Participants explore new repertoire alongside popular marches and concert pieces in rehearsals led by Musical Director Les Neish. This takes place in a relaxed atmosphere with highlights such as the Live Tutor Quiz and the fantasti PhairGrylls Friday night BBQ.

The Summer School is held at the Letterbreen Methodist Church Hall, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

We strive to bring you a fantastic experience at a small cost of £30 for the three days music making. All you need is your instrument and a smile because all music, stands etc will be provided. We even provide a buffet lunch on Thursday and Friday!

The course takes place on Thursday and Friday culminating in the showcase concert for friends and family on Saturday. This concert will feature the summer school band performing pieces they have worked on and the tutor ensemble will play a short, entertaining program for your enjoyment including an optional raffle.
